A new chapter in leadership began at Wigwe University as the institution announced the appointment of Professor Chinyere N. Ukaga as Deputy Vice-Chancellor.
The appointment was announced yesterday, 17th July 2026, by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Marwan Al-Akaidi, following the 21st Meeting of the University’s Governing Council held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
Professor Ukaga has been an integral part of our journey, serving as the University’s pioneer Director of Academic Planning and Head of the Quality Assurance and Academic Standards Unit. Her dedication to academic excellence and institutional growth has helped shape the strong foundation upon which Wigwe University continues to thrive.
