On August 24, GAC Group Chairman Feng Xingya and Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei met again in Shenzhen. Qijing Auto officially stated that this high-level exchange, a year after their first strategic handshake, can be seen as a key signal that Qijing is moving from “shared direction” to “deepened development.”
Luo Jianhua, General Manager of Qijing Automotive Products, published an article today discussing the meeting between Feng Xingya and Ren Zhengfei. He believes that the next generation of intelligent vehicles is not a simple combination of vehicle capabilities and intelligent technologies, but rather a product of joint definition, underlying integration, and full-process collaboration.
Luo Jianhua stated that the Qijing GX7 is the latest embodiment of this concept, having been designed from the outset to match the spacious five-seat configuration of the 8 Series . The vehicle is positioned as a “superior to the 7 Series.” According to the plan, the Qijing GX7 will be launched in September, and display vehicles are already arriving at dealerships.
According to reports, Qijing has completed the first phase of product and market testing and is entering an acceleration phase. Qijing officially stated that it will focus on the 300,000 RMB-level high-end intelligent electric vehicle market. In terms of service network coverage, Huawei Qiankun Intelligent Driving Authorized Experience Centers and Qijing Authorized User Centers currently cover more than 90 cities and over 300 stores.
The Qijing GX7 made its debut at the 2026 Chengdu Auto Show on August 21. The new car emphasizes “intelligent and versatile space”, and is the first to be equipped with Huawei’s HarmonySpace 6 cockpit, pre-embedded L3-level high-level architecture, and adopts an L3-level full-link eight-redundancy architecture design.
