Olight has launched the new ArkTac Series 2 at its O Fan Day event. This includes the ArkTac Ultra, targeting hardcore users, and the ArkTac, aimed at general users. Both products feature a flat chassis and a multi-light source design. The Ultra version further incorporates laser, red light, and ultraviolet light sources and utilizes a new OAL2 unibody aluminum alloy chassis.
The ArkTac Ultra retains the overall design style of the previous ArkPro, boasting a maximum brightness of 1800 lumens, and the front control area remains largely the same. Olight has also upgraded the status indicator lights, adding three low-brightness indicators to quickly identify the current light source, even in dark environments. The battery indicator system also incorporates a new battery protection mode, providing an additional approximately 2 hours of basic illumination time.
Meanwhile, new control buttons have been added to the back of the product, allowing users to directly switch between some lighting modes. It supports switching between floodlight, spotlight, UV light, red light, and green laser.
The ArkTac series also incorporates a new sensor that measures the distance between the flashlight and objects, reducing the risk of accidental activation. For example, it can prevent accidental activation of the high-brightness light when the flashlight is in a backpack or pocket. This feature also contributes to improved safety, as flashlights can generate high temperatures during operation.
In addition to the ArkTac Ultra, Olight also launched the ArkTac, positioned for general users. Both products can be used as everyday carry-on flashlights, but the ArkTac omits the laser light source and the newly added front indicator light. It also doesn’t use the new OAL2 aluminum alloy, continuing to use the existing materials. In terms of brightness, the ArkTac reaches a maximum of 1700 lumens, a negligible difference compared to the Ultra version’s 1800 lumens.
Regarding pricing, Olight expects the ArkTac Ultra to be available by the end of 2026, priced at $160. Olight also offers a premium kit version of the Ultra model for $200, which includes a magnetic mounting system and an MCC4 magnetic charging cable. The standard ArkTac will be priced at $120.
