Guo Rui, Chairman and CEO of HarmonyOS Intelligent Mobility, published an article last night detailing the driving performance of the Intelligent RX Coupe SUV.
He stated that in terms of chassis mechanical quality, the team has been refining the vehicle using the full chassis hardware specifications and tuning standards of million-level performance luxury cars, achieving a balance between ultimate handling and everyday driving comfort.
According to Guo Rui, the Zhijie RX features an innovative 343 compact body architecture, coupled with electromagnetic thermal control die-casting technology, achieving a torsional stiffness of over 50,000 N·m/deg.
This ultra-high rigidity body effectively suppresses body deformation under extreme conditions, resulting in lossless suspension action, purer response, and stronger tracking, fully unleashing the handling potential of the entire chassis. Simultaneously, through a scientifically balanced weight distribution of all materials, a near 50:50 golden front-to-rear axle load ratio is achieved, avoiding understeer and oversteer, resulting in a more neutral steering posture and more balanced and precise handling.
On the hardware front, Guo Rui stated that the Zhijie RX is fully benchmarked against high-performance luxury cars costing millions. It adopts a front virtual kingpin four-ball joint all-aluminium double wishbone suspension and a rear five-link independent suspension.
The lightweight unsprung structure weakens road noise and reduces bump interference, balancing precise steering with refined vibration filtering. At its core is a dual-chamber air suspension with dual-valve continuously variable damping CDC shock absorbers, which can intelligently and dynamically adjust according to road conditions, vehicle speed, and driving mode. This provides strong anti-roll and ample support during aggressive cornering, while offering smooth vibration filtering for daily commutes.
Meanwhile, the Zhijie RX is equipped with high-performance fixed callipers with six pistons at the front and high-performance dual tyres with a narrow front and wide rear, which provide stronger brake fade suppression, more braking confidence, and significantly improve cornering grip limits and dynamic stability.
In terms of tuning, the international chassis team led by Tobias Moers completed thousands of rounds of meticulous calibration of the Zhijie RX’s steering, roll, suspension, and braking systems. They also successfully tackled a high-speed lane change at speeds exceeding 250 km/h, verifying the vehicle’s dynamic stability and handling redundancy at extreme speeds. Coupled with the new Huawei Touring chassis centralised architecture, millisecond-level coordinated scheduling of suspension, braking, electric drive, and steering is achieved.
According to a report by Daily Lamp, Zhao Changjiang, Executive Director and Executive Vice President of Zhijie Auto, revealed that within 24 hours of the pre-sale opening of the Zhijie RX, orders for the L3 autonomous driving architecture version reached 90%. Zhao Changjiang also stated that many of the customers who placed orders are owners of Ferrari, Porsche, and BMW vehicles, who believe the Zhijie RX is a better choice for the intelligent era. Additionally, some owners of HarmonyOS 9 Series vehicles are also purchasing an additional car, considering the Zhijie RX a suitable second car for their families.
