On June 22, 2026, Team Suki 2027 Support Group paid a strategic courtesy visit to the APC State Chairman and members of the State Executive Committee at the APC State Secretariat, Calabar.
The delegation, led by Team Lead Offiong Okon, formally introduced the group to the leadership of the Party and expressed profound appreciation for the continued support and encouragement extended to Distinguished Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong.
During the visit, Team Suki 2027 reaffirmed its commitment to grassroots mobilisation, voter education, stakeholder engagement, and the promotion of unity across the seven Local Government Areas of Cross River South.
The group also reiterated its unwavering support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the People First Agenda of Governor Bassey Edet Otu, and the continued growth and success of the APC.
Speaking on the achievements of Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong, the group noted that his tenure in the Senate has been characterised by impactful representation, youth and women empowerment programmes, educational support initiatives, scholarships, skills acquisition opportunities, constituency interventions, and unwavering accessibility to the people.
They further highlighted his efforts in facilitating developmental projects, creating opportunities for young people, supporting businesses, attracting federal attention to critical needs within the district, and maintaining close engagement with constituents across Cross River South.
Team Suki 2027 maintained that the widespread acceptance and support enjoyed by the Senator across the seven Local Government Areas is a reflection of the confidence the people have in his leadership, humility, competence, accessibility, and dedication to service.
As a mark of appreciation and recognition for his leadership of the Party, Team Suki 2027 presented an Award of Appreciation to the APC State Chairman.
The visit further reinforced the group’s conviction that The Standard represents continuity, effective representation, tested leadership, quality service, people-oriented governance, and sustainable development for the people of Cross River South.
