I was Call to the Nigerian Bar as Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in September 25th 2026.

Twenty-four (24) years ago, I saw a picture of what I was going to become, a picture of a legal practitioner. Three(3) years later, I told my classmates that I was going to become a lawyer, they laughed. At some point I saw myself moving gradually into theatre art, I wanted to be in the Nollywood and to be a great music star. Yes, in secondary school, I opted for Art, and I became the only child of my parents that did not choose science to pursue a career.
After my o’level, in 2008/9 I wrote my first jamb to study law, in 2010, I wrote another for the same course, 2011 to 2012 I felt the law was not for me so I applied for English and Literary Studies and Public Administration, yet I did not get any. 2013 I applied for Diploma in Law and I got the admission.
2015, in a church playlet, I took the role of the presiding judge. That was the first time I wore the lawyer’s wig and gown.
I rounded up through thick and thin and God granted me the direct entry admission. I went in for the LLB, and in 2022, I was in the Student Union Government as a Judge of Malabor High Court. I continued to enjoy the wig and gown and the address …”my Lord”.
Against all odds, I graduated and left for the Nigerian Law School, Yola campus. At the campus, during the moot and mock trial, I also enjoyed the wig and gown, this time as a Defense Counsel.
I got into the Bar final, and God brought me out in flying colours. I was Call to the Nigerian Bar as Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in September 25th 2026.
I came back to Calabar and was opportuned to work in Basic Rights Counsel as a legal officer in Basic Rights Law Partners from October 2025.
In November 2025, I recorded victory in the first file handed to me against the Nigerian Police in suit number HC/10F/2024. From November 2025-2026, I have recorded more than 6 judgements and rulings in my name through the exposure and support my Firm. Thanks to God.
