Youths have blocked Agip Road by Ada-George Road in Port Harcourt, protesting the alleged police shooting and killing of a fellow youth identified as Anthony Obodo.
The protesters are demanding justice and appropriate action against the police officer allegedly involved.
The protest completely halted vehicular movement in the area, on Monday, causing serious traffic disruption.
The Rivers State Police Command had confirmed Anthony’s death following the August 27 incident and identified the alleged officer involved as CPL Alfred Louis.
The Command said the officer and members of his team were taken to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for investigation and possible disciplinary action.
