…reaffirms support for Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara

Women under the umbrella of Rivers Women Unite for SIM (RWUS) have reaffirmed their commitment to economic empowerment by encouraging women across Rivers State to acquire practical vocational skills.
The call was made during the group’s monthly prayer meeting held on Thursday at the Ecumenical Centre in Port Harcourt, themed “Praise, Purpose and Productivity: Giving Thanks, Gaining Skills, Building Futures.”
The women stressed that skills acquisition is essential for achieving financial independence and helping families cope with current economic challenges. They urged participants to remain committed to the training programmes and make good use of the opportunities provided.
As part of the programme, participants received a practical demonstration on the production of soap, bleach and disinfectants, with more vocational training scheduled for the group’s June and July meetings.
The group also reaffirmed its support for Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, describing him as a leader committed to the welfare and empowerment of women in the state.
