Hon. Abang Victor Bisong was born on April 11th 1967, in Bawop, Boki Local Government Area, of Cross River State. He is a politician, farmer and businessman.
Hon. Abang is a first-term Member of the House of Representatives in the 10th National Assembly, representing the Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency of Cross River State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He succeeded Hon. Chris Ngoro Agibe.
Hon. Victor Abang joined mainstream politics in 2005, when he was appointed as the Chief Legislative Aide to the then-Senate President, Ken Nnamani, serving from 2005 to 2007. He subsequently held the position of Special Assistant to the Senate President on Public Affairs from 2007 to 2016 and Chief of Staff to the Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) from 2016 to 2019.
In 2021, he was appointed as the Special Adviser to the Governor on National Assembly Matters by the then-Governor, Senator Ben Ayade.
In 2018, Hon. Abang was nominated as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ikom/Boki Federal House seat in the 2019 general election but lost the election.
In 2022, Hon. Abang was elected as the candidate as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ikom/Boki Federal House seat in the 2023 general election and won the election.
Currently, he is the candidate of the APC for the same Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections. If he wins, it would be his second tenure in the National Assembly.
