The Governor of Cross River State, Senator Prince Bassey Otu, has approved the deployment of a 300kVA transformer to Nature Court Estate, Parliamentary Extension, Calabar, following 18 months of darkness in the area.
The intervention is part of the Otu administration’s commitment to expanding access to reliable electricity and improving living conditions for residents across Cross River State.
Speaking on the development, the Director-General of the Cross River State Electrification Agency, Mr Francis Ekpo, said Governor Otu remains committed to providing reliable electricity to the people of the state.
According to him, improved electricity supply will contribute significantly to economic growth, enhanced security, and better living standards for residents.
Residents of Nature Court Estate, Parliamentary Extension, expressed their appreciation to Governor Otu for approving the transformer and commended the Director-General of the Electrification Agency, Mr Francis Ekpo, for his role in facilitating the intervention.
The residents also reaffirmed their support for the administration, declaring their loyalty to the governor, whom they fondly described as the “Sweet Prince.”
