The Joseph Ogogo Foundation (JOF) has concluded its third humanitarian intervention outreach in Obanliku Local Government Area of Cross River State, providing healthcare services, relief materials and educational support to hundreds of residents in one of the state’s rural communities.
The outreach, which attracted a large turnout of beneficiaries and community members, reinforced the Foundation’s commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable people through interventions focused on education, healthcare and community development.
Anchored on its flagship campaign, “Every Child Deserves an Education,” the Foundation said its programmes are designed to address the broader challenges affecting children’s access to quality education by combining educational advocacy with healthcare delivery, humanitarian assistance and community empowerment.
Speaking on the intervention, Dr Austin Ogogo (Jnr) described the outreach as another milestone in the Foundation’s mission to restore dignity and create opportunities for underserved communities.
“We are still overwhelmed by the incredible warmth and reception we received during our third intervention outreach in Obanliku. Bringing essential support, healthcare and hope to the resilient people of Obanliku was a deeply moving experience for our entire team,” he said.
Ogogo attributed the success of the outreach to the dedication of volunteers, local community leaders and development partners who supported the initiative despite the logistical challenges of accessing remote communities.
“None of this would have been possible without our dedicated volunteers, local community leaders and valued partners who continue to believe in our vision. Despite the logistical challenges of reaching some of the remote communities, we remained resolute because every life matters and every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and fulfil his or her potential.
“To everyone in Obanliku, thank you for opening your hearts to us. Your resilience continues to inspire us. Together, we are changing lives, one outreach at a time,” he added.
The Foundation reiterated that its commitment to education goes beyond advocacy, describing the campaign as a long-term investment in empowering children and strengthening communities across Cross River State and beyond.
According to Ogogo, the latest intervention reflects the Foundation’s belief that humanitarian service has the greatest impact when it reaches rural and underserved communities where access to healthcare, education and social support remains limited.
Community leaders and beneficiaries commended the Joseph Ogogo Foundation for bringing critical services closer to residents, describing the intervention as timely and impactful. They appealed to the Foundation to sustain its engagement and expand its programmes to reach more remote communities within Obanliku and neighbouring local government areas.
Stakeholders also praised the efforts of the Foundation’s volunteers, healthcare personnel and partners, noting that their commitment ensured the successful execution of the outreach despite the area’s geographical and logistical challenges.
As the Foundation expands its humanitarian activities across Cross River State, it called on corporate organisations, development partners, philanthropists and public-spirited individuals to collaborate in extending educational opportunities, healthcare services and humanitarian assistance to more vulnerable communities.
The Foundation said it remains committed to promoting grassroots development through sustained investments in people, particularly children, maintaining that access to education remains the cornerstone of long-term social and economic progress.
For residents of Obanliku, the third intervention outreach represented more than the delivery of humanitarian assistance. It served as a demonstration of community partnership and collective action aimed at improving lives and creating lasting opportunities for future generations.
