…mismanagement and misapplication of Imo state public funds

Imo State belongs to the people of Imolites, and never an individual’s property, and can never turn to individual property.
It’s uncalled for and very abysmal that Imo State is still undergoing hardship, poor and ineffective governance, Governor Hope Uzodimma approved N25bn for the construction of judges residential estate.
This Judges Quarters comprises 40 modern duplexes alongside recreational facilities.
At a time when many Imo communities continue to face pressing challenges such as poor roads, inadequate healthcare, unemployment, insecurity, and declining educational infrastructure, Hope Uzodimma neglected all these, and what seems appropriate to him is to build estate for judges in Imo state.
I believe government resources should be directed toward projects that provide immediate and widespread benefits to the people.
Recently, the Imo state students that took ordinary Common Entrance Examination (CEE) were seen taking the exam with lamps and torches around 8pm. Very disheartening.
I asked people not to attack my publications, rather utilize the energy to investigate in all nooks and crannies of Imo state concerning the situations of the nursery, primary and secondary government schools, report their findings.
I told us that in my ward, Local government, each government schools there does not have more than 3 teachers. All the buildings has been dilapidated, no chairs or table for students and few teachers seen there. The students sits on the floor to write. This is applicable to all schools across Imo state.
Take a look of what Governor Alex Otti is busy doing in Abia State, a one term governor.
Can Governor Alex Otti or Prof. Soludo of Anambra state think or do this unimaginable acts that Hope Uzodimma is doing and about to do for Judges in Imo state? The two Professors I know can never useless and mismanage tax payers money like this.
Imo State have enough funds, inclusive with 27 LGAs funds under his control. My question now is, ‘Did the judges told Governor Hope Uzodimma that they lack shelter?’ This is the step and format to keep hijacking, controlling and accessing easily the judiciary.
While the welfare of judicial officers is important, the scale of this expenditure raises legitimate questions about priorities, transparency, and value for money. Imo citizens deserve prudent management of public funds and investments that directly improve their daily lives.
Under the administration of Governor Hope Uzodimma, Imo State deepen in distress, filled with autocratic governance.
Among all the remaining 35 governors in the nation, it is only Hope Uzodimma who engaged in trying to mismanage Imo public funds by the movement to construct Residential estate for judges worth of humongous amount of Imo funds of N25bn, While Imolites are been denied their social welfare.
No single Local government in Imo state is working effectively.
Insecurities has taken our beloved Imo state. What a governor.
If Sam Mbakwe wakes up a minute and see the current Imo state, he will definitely shed blood.
A government’s first responsibility is to promote the welfare of all its citizens through accountable and people-centered governance.
I can recall what I was been taught during my higher institution days, that one of the principles or characteristics of the judiciary is political neutrality. I, therefore encourage our legal higher practitioners to abscond from any attachment with government officials and its funds and remain neutral without any form of bias.
I, therefore, call on the Imo State Government to suspend the ungodly and unacceptable project, and reconsider its spending priorities in line with the urgent needs of the people.
And any further moves to proceed, a legal means must be applied to stop that project. Is not a threat, rather a plead for better Imo state.
