Burna Boy, Omah Lay, Wizard Chan, Odumodublvck, Davido, Rema, Asake, Tems, Peller, Davido and other top Nigerian entertainers have been nominated for the 7th edition of the Galaxy Music Awards.
The live nomination event was held on September 1, unveiling nominees across dozens of categories ahead of the main awards ceremony scheduled for October 21, 2026, at the MUSON Centre in Lagos.
This year’s edition is themed “Kalakuta”, celebrating the legacy and cultural influence of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Aníkúlápó Kuti, while recognising outstanding talents and contributions to the Nigerian music industry.
Odumodublvck emerged as the most nominated artiste with eight nominations, followed by Wizard Chan with six nominations.
Other major nominees include Omah Lay, Burna Boy, Davido, Rema, Asake, Shallipopi, Ayra Starr, Tems, Tiwa Savage, Fave, Teni and Qing Madi.
The nominees will compete in categories including Artiste of the Year, Female Artiste of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Album of the Year, Naija Anthem of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best African Act, Street Banger of the Year, Best Pop Single, Best R&B Single, Best Vocal Performance, Producer of the Year, Video Director of the Year, Stream Creator of the Year and Music Publicist of the Year, among others.
Regional categories will also recognise artistes from the East, West, South/Port Harcourt and North, while awards will be presented to music industry professionals including producers, photographers, DJs, artiste managers, publishers, bloggers and record labels.

The nomination announcement marks another major step toward the highly anticipated 2026 Galaxy Music Awards.
