The Nigerian Navy has boosted community development in Cross River State with the commissioning of a 50,000-litre Braithwaite water storage tank, solar-powered industrial borehole and community town hall at Adiabo Akani Obio, Odukpani Local Government Area, under the Chief of the Naval Staff Special Intervention Quick lmpact Project.
Executed in honour of the Chief of Operations, Nigerian Navy, Rear Admiral Patrick Effah, the intervention is designed to improve access to portable water and provide a functional space for community meetings and social activities.
Representing the Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral ldi Abbas, the Chief of Naval Transformation and Innovation, Rear Admiral Chijioke Onyemaobi, reaffirmed the Navy’s commitment to strengthening civil- military relations through practical interventions that address genuine community needs.
The Obong of Calabar was also present at the commissioning.
